Benjamin Garmezy, MD
Assistant Director, Genitourinary Research, Sarah Cannon Research Institute
Dr. Garmezy joined Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI) in 2021 and serves as assistant director of genitourinary (GU) research for SCRI. In his role, Dr. Garmezy oversees investigational therapy trials for GU cancers, including prostate, kidney, testicular, and bladder cancers.
Dr. Garmezy received his undergraduate degree from Amherst College and his Doctorate of Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine. Prior to joining SCRI, he completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Michigan and his fellowship in hematology/oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He practices with Tennessee Oncology, PLLC, at the SCRI drug development unit in Nashville, Tenn.
