Tom Cronin
Regional Vice President, Far West Division
Tom started his career journey at Disneyland where he developed his servant leadership approach. From there, he joined a medical device company just prior to starting his now 14 year career with HCA Healthcare.
The last three years, Tom has served as Vice President, Business Development with us. One of his many growth objectives was overseeing the Oncology service line where he led the team to successfully grow focused gains from 2021 to 2023 including Thoracic (up 36%), Colorectal (up 52%), Complex Hepatobiliary (47%) and Medical Oncology. He also supported the multidisciplinary teams in achieving Sarah Cannon Signature Status for our thoracic program, as well as designing and executing on a pancreatic cyst surveillance program to detect early warning signs of pancreatic cancer.
Tom is excited to be taking on a larger role in leading the cancer network in the Far West Division. He is looking forward to spending time in the field collaborating with the cancer teams, providers and hospital leaders across California and Nevada. And as a perk, we will still be able to work with Tom at our facility.
When not working, Tom’s loves include both road and mountain biking, donuts and ice cream, and spending time with his lovely wife, Shannon and their children. Their daughter, Sara, is finishing her Bachelor in Nursing at Baylor University this year and their son, Sean, is starting at UCLA this fall with plans to study biochemistry.
