Frances M. Palmieri RN, MSN, OCN, CCRP

Director Oncology Strategic Sites

Palmieri joined Sarah Cannon in 2010 and serves as director of Oncology Strategic Sites. She is responsible for overseeing clinical operations and development of Sarah Cannon Research Institute Oncology Strategic Sites. This includes study operations, research program collaboration and development, and trial management.

Palmieri attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing and University of Phoenix, earning bachelor and master's degrees in nursing, respectively. She is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) and the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA). Past clinical oncology leadership experience includes the development and management of a multidisciplinary breast clinic as well as the breast cancer program at Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville. Her oncology nursing practice experience also includes nursing management and direct patient care in an acute care oncology community research setting. Her past educator role involved disseminating key clinical trial communication as well as overseeing the oncology group of a medical communications company.
