Senior Director, Health Outcomes Research
Lindsay Sears, PhD, leads the Health Outcomes Research team at Sarah Cannon, focused on conducting research and analytics on the real world effectiveness of treatments, programs and systems to impact patient care. The Outcomes team publishes outcomes studies, supports quality improvement initiatives, advises on outcomes dashboards, enables the innovation of new therapies and interventions, and partners with Information Technology and Genospace to curate data sources and streamline research protocol execution.
Dr. Sears joined Sarah Cannon from Informed Data Systems where she was responsible for strategic research programs that focused on using data and behavioral science to optimize digital health solutions. Additionally, she led efforts to design and implement clinical studies (both interventional and retrospective) that generated insights related to consumer engagement, brand loyalty and health outcomes. Previously, Dr. Sears also served as Associate Vice President for Research and Analytics at the Work Institute in Franklin, Tenn., and as Executive Director for Research and Advanced Analytics at Sharecare in Franklin, Tenn.
Dr. Sears holds a PhD in Industrial & Organizational Psychology from Clemson University and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rhodes College. She serves as a member of the American Psychological Association and is on the Editorial Board for Occupational Health Science.
