Manish R. Patel, MD
Director, Drug Development, Sarah Cannon Research Institute at Florida Cancer Specialists
Dr. Patel joined Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI) at Florida Cancer Specialists in 2011 and serves as the director of drug development for SCRI at Florida Cancer Specialists based out of Sarasota, Florida. In his role, he oversees drug development units in Sarasota and Orlando. Additionally, Patel is a principal investigator on numerous medical oncology and malignant hematology phase I clinical trials.
Dr. Patel received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and medical degree from the University of Miami. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and his fellowship in oncology-hematology at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center. Patel is board certified in medical oncology, hematology and internal medicine.
